Inside Sales Representative

Centre Concrete is seeking an energetic and motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our sales team, working out of our State College office. The successful candidate will be supporting the company’s sales goals by developing relationships with our existing customer base while adding new customers to expand our market share. The inside sales representative will work directly with the Sales Director and other sales staff to provide customer pricing and recommendations for products that will meet explicit concrete projects’ concrete specifications. This will include creating proposals, costs and value-added items that customers have become accustomed to when working with Centre Concrete.

The Inside Sales Representative position will cover Central/Northeast Pennsylvania territories. The position is an in-person position, and is not hybrid. This job requires the candidate to be in the office 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Liaison between customer and outside sales/submittal departments.
• Utilizing Slabstack software to develop job quotes, proposals and sales reports for customer review.
• Generating submittal packages in Stonemont QC software.
• Understanding of where and how products and admixtures are used in certain applications for specific concrete projects.
• Ability to proactively recommend products to aid in on-going concrete projects.
• Answer incoming requests via telephone, emails, written inquiries, and job quoting websites.
• Clarify and fulfill customer requests/needs by presenting various selections of products and services providing pricing information as requested.
• Understand and respond to customer delivery needs by interacting with plant managers.
• Enter Sales Orders and Purchase Order request forms.
• File, organize, and maintain sales tools, customer information, and product information.
• Resolve customer concerns in an expeditious and polite manner.
• Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Sales.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of customer service in a professional office environment and/or inside sales experience
• Data entry and computer software capabilities required
• Technical products background helpful
• Previous experience using Slabstack preferred but not required.
• Previous experience using Stonemont preferred but not required

CDL Drivers

Centre Concrete Company is hiring CDL Class B DRIVERS for our Covington, PA plant. Rate is currently $29.25 and increasing to $31.50 on April 1. Payday is each Thursday. Full family excellent healthcare (health, prescription, dental, vision) for roughly $250/month. Time and a half for work over 8 hours a day. Pension. 401k. Home every night. Paid time off and holidays.

Drivers need to have a minimum Class B, Tanker endorsement and be willing to work all hours of the day and six days of the week (Mon – Sat). Saturday hours are at a time and a half. No slip seating. Responsible for keeping a clean truck and learning about concrete. Customer interaction and satisfaction are expected with each delivery.
